My TEFL course is going really well. There are 5 students- 2 from Ireland, 2 from England and me the American. The two teachers are super nice. We all havea good time with our 9 hour days. It really is intense. Lots of work and lots to learn each day. I taught my first class yesterday. I had to do a lesson on Personal Organization and Time Management. Only 3 students showed up so it wasn´t stressful at all. They were all adults and at an intermediate level. It was a lot of fun to teach- and it isnt as easy as the other teachers make it look. We have been doing lots with our lesson plans. I teach again Monday and Tuesday and Thursday next week. The lessons are 45 mins long for right now. But yeah.... the days are very long.
In regards to my apartment, the lightbulb in the big bathroom (with the nice shower) broke so we can´t use it. The shower in the other bathroom is TIIIIIIIIIIINY. I am all caught up on my paperwork. One load of laundry yesterday took over an hour to do. So I got one done last night and this morning I put another load in.... aka only 3 more loads left until I´m caught up with that. Hopefully by Sunday I will have everything washed.... oh how I miss my laundry service at the hotel!!!! Nothing else really happening because the classes rule my life now. Lots to do this weekend, but tonight Jose and I are going out to eat and getting ice cream! A nice lil treat.... well he did cook me really good italian food the other day.
Umm... yea so I really really do want to come back here to teach in September. If anyone knows of summer jobs let me know because I´ll need some cash for the plane ticket to get back here. (and thanks ash for the offer at camp!!!!!!)
